Blazes Nation! Spirit Week and Homecoming is here! Spirit Week runs from 09/21 to 09/26. We invite all students to participate! There are four main Spirit Week events that I would like people to be aware of.
Spirit Week!
Students showing their spirit by dressing up! Spirit Week is intended to be fun and create community. Please ensure all outfits are positive, inclusive, and appropriate for a regular school day. Standard student conduct policies apply!
Monday: Adam Sandler Day- dress up in over-sized very casual clothing inspired by Adam's Sandler's signature style!
Tuesday: Anything But a Backpack Day - Bring a unique item instead of your backpack! Items must fit in a locker, be carried by the student, keep it safe, no live creatures and hold school materials without spilling.
Wednesday: Surfers and Bikers Day- Inspired by Teen Beach Movie choose between tropical surfer attire or motorcycle chic.
Thursday: Country and Country Club Day- Rock your favorite Western wear or preppy country look.
Friday: Class Colors Day- G9- Navy, G10- White, G11- Carolina, G12-Black.
Meet At the 50!
Friday from 10:00 to 10:50 @ Historic Olmsted Field.
Meet at the 50 is a community celebration that brings together the Kindergarten Class of 2039 and the Senior Class of 2027 at midfield. This moment represents the symbolic passing of the torch between generations of Blue Blazes and highlights the pride, tradition, and shared purpose that define Westbrook.
The event features building administrators, teaching staff, the WHS Band, and community members, all joining together to welcome our youngest students while honoring our seniors as they prepare for their final year.
Parents, families, alumni, and community members are invited to attend, and staff are welcome to join us if schedules allow.
Pep Rally!
Friday from 1:30 to 2:25 @ the gym.
This event is for students and staff and is a true community-builder! Go Blue!
Homecoming Dance!
The Homecoming Dance is happening on Saturday, September 26th, from 7:00 PM to 10:00PM in the WHS Gym.
Tickets for the dance will be sold next week during lunches from Monday-Friday. Students will need all paperwork completed to buy a ticket.
Tickets cost $10 per person.
Forms will be available outside Room 107, 223, and in the cafeteria during lunches.
Tickets will not be sold after C Lunch on Friday.
