Good Morning Congin Cougar Families,
Happy Wednesday and Happy April! Can you believe we are already in April? This year continues to go by fast, but we have a lot going on at Congin. Here are some updates for this week:
It is Wednesday, so that means it is an early release day! Students will be dismissed at 2:20.
Today, we finish up our work with honesty during our school-wide assembly. We will celebrate our work with a hat day on Friday, so students can come to school wearing their favorite hat! At our assembly, we will also roll out our new theme of cooperation. Classrooms will be earning paper "bricks" whenever they work together, and we will build a school wall of all of our cooperation bricks!
We finished our March Madness Book challenge! In the end, it was between Duck on a Bike read by Mrs. Walls and The Future Book read by Mrs. Proulx, and The Future Book was chosen as the favorite! Thank you to Mrs. Proulx and Mrs. Wellman who set up this fun school-wide activity!
Parent Teacher Conference sign ups were sent via Reach My Teach. Parent Teacher Conferences will be taking place on April 9th, 14th and the 16th. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions.
There will be a half day for students on April 16th. Students will be dismissed at 11:20am.
Congin will have a UA Night on Wednesday, April 15th from 5-6pm. Come see our art show, visit the book fair, and participate in various activities related to music and PE. We hope to see you there!
There will be no school on April 17th, and there will be no school from April 20th-24th for April break!
Hannaford Helps Schools will be taking place again this year starting on April 5th and ending May 30th. Through this program, shoppers will earn 3 School Dollars for every 4 participating products purchased. At checkout, customers will receive a School Dollar printout they can redeem online to donate to any school in this program. When redeeming online, please select Congin School! If you do not have a way of redeeming online, send in the print out to school, and we can redeem it at Cognin!
