Good Morning Congin Cougar Families,
Happy Wednesday before winter break! Here are some updates for this week:
It's an early release day! Students will be dismissed at 2:30 today.
We completed our 12 Days of Kindness! The students did a fantastic job and received daily shoutouts on the morning announcements whenever they completed the daily challenge. When we come back from break, we will be focusing on the theme of mindfulness!
To celebrate our work with kindness, we are having 3 spirit days today, Thursday and Friday. Today is wear your Congin gear or Congin colors, Thursday is wear your favorite holiday sweater, and Friday is PJ day!
On Friday, the high school band will be coming to Congin to perform a variety of holiday songs for us to enjoy! This is a wonderful yearly tradition that the students and staff always get to enjoy.
Don't forget that we will have no school from December 23rd to January 1st. We will be back in school on January 2nd.
We had an overwhelming response for our Game Club for 1st and 2nd graders. Unfortunately we could only accept 20 students. I sent out emails to families indicating if students are able to participate or not. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. In January, we will be sending out sign-ups for Game Club for grades 3 and 4!
Reader's Theater sign-ups for 1st and 2nd grade were also sent out. You will be notified if students get in or not on Friday! Please make sure permission slips get turned in by Thursday. If you have any questions, please reach out to Miss. Eastman.
I hope you all have a terrific and safe winter break spent with loved ones. As always, thank you for trusting us with your children. They are the reason we love what we do, and we are so privileged to be a part of such an inclusive, kind, and involved community. To those who celebrate, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, and Happy New Year from all of us at Congin. See you in 2025!
It's a great day to be a cougar!
Sincerely,
Marc Bisson
